Matthew Johnson
Principal
As the Principal at Sterling Ventures, Matthew is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and making decisions on all investment opportunities. Prior to founding Sterling Ventures, he worked as a Management Consultant in Ernst & Young’s Banking Practice for four years. Earlier in his career, he spent time at a large, regional bank in a variety of roles that gave him a deep understanding of banking and finance. Matthew holds a Finance degree and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his wife and infant son.
Marc Peterson
VP of Finance
Marc Peterson is Vice President of Finance for Sterling Ventures. His deep knowledge of finance, capital markets and investments has aided in the development of Sterling Ventures. Marc previously held the position of Asset Manager at Concorde Ventures Corporation and worked as an Assurance Associate with RSM US, LLP. Marc holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from the College of St. Scholastica.
